True Love
Dunbar House is the most elegant backdrop for Weddings, looking over the most beautiful grand fig tree with magnificent views of Sydney Harbour. So when the radiant of all ladies Laura contacted us for a Cheese Tower we were more than excited.
Laura's debrief was “simple, organic with figs”. And she left it to us to create something truly outstanding
You are my sun, my moon & all of my stars
The phenomenal 5 tier cheese tower stood to the right of the bridal table covered in greenery, figs, blackberries and flowers. We want to make the Cheese Tower be a beautiful statement but also blend in with the rest of stunning room decorations.
One of our favourite cheeses was sourced for the Tower, the incredible Cornish Yarg, a Cheddar which is covered in stingy nettles. It was the base for the Tower and created that organic feel bringing the rest of the Tower together. The other Cheeses included Organic Hoddle Brie, Simme Blue, B. Savarin Goats and Riverine Buffalo Blue.
The tower was served with Tamarind Chutney, local Cranberry Jam, Quince Paste and Cumquat Jam.
We are so happy for Laura and David. We wish them all the happiness in the world
Surrounded By Cheese
The gorgeous Alicia and Joseph came to us shortly after becoming engaged and it was very evident from day dot that this couple were very much in sync and very much in love. The perfect combination to ensure that we as a creative team and could spend the next year crafting their big cheese vision to absolute perfection. Alicia loves Cheese and a great Grazing plank so we decided to do something extra special and bring the two together.
It was about bringing together their nearest and dearest, all 100 people to share a day of love, laugher and of course food.
From the minute we arrived at the venue to set up our beautiful Cheese Tower and Grazing Plank we knew the guests were in for something very special. The stunning winery looks over the picturesque bush view of bobs farm and has the sounds of bell birds in the background. The wooden floors, timber long tales and gum leaves decorating all the tables made it have a rustic, woodlands feel.
The bride and groom decided to do things a little differently, which we love. On arrival to the reception they cut their Cheese Tower cake and served it with their plank as canapés for them to enjoy with their guests.
The beautiful 4 tier cheese tower had the special black cloth covered Cornish Yern followed by Creamy Bath Organic, Swissmathier Simme Bleu and topped with Brillant Savarin. We surround the cheese tower with dark coloured fruits and flowers to reflect the style of the room but to also keep the woodlands, vineyard feel and look. We covered in blue southern gum, everlasting daisies, little rubys, lavender and dried lotus pods.
The 3 metre long grazing plank was covered in an array of cheeses, cured meats, olives, dips, antipasto and marinated vegetables, smoked goods (fish, duck and chicken) pates, fruits, dips, nuts, breads, crackers chocolate, condiments, pastes and honeycomb.
It was stunning. The biggest thank you to the happy couple for trusting us with their Wedding Cake and Canapés. We had the time of our lives creating this for you.
Bringing a Community Together
We were very excited when asked to cater the annual Pearl Beach Community Meeting. Not only is it a nice close to home event for us but this little community hall is set in the loveliest spot with a beautiful back deck and garden.
We catered for 100 enthusiastic residents and put an array of our best cheeses and meats.
We love a great function and love going above and beyond to make each function stand out and be different. Are you having a: Product launch, Fashion show, Charity function, Photo shoot, Company celebration, School reunion, Sport event - we would love to help
15 kilos of Cheese
This dreamy ocean view wedding in Mosman for Ellie and Nick melted our hearts the minute we walked into the room. The minute we first spoke to Ellie we became so excited by her vision. She wanted simple but elegant with whites and greenery. Sergeants Mess speaks for itself when you walk in and have floor to ceiling views of the Sydney Harbour but Ellie’s styling team created something so incredible with over the top white flowers and lots of pastels greens.
The immaculate Floral details, beautiful tables decorations with little olive oils as gifts and a one of a kind view had us speechless.
We wanted the 6 tier Cheese Tower to standout but also blend in with the rest of the theme. We picked 6 cheeses that complement the style and colours of the wedding but also tasted incredible. The cheese selection was the following Monte Veronese Di Malga DOP, Artisan Lou Bergier Cheddar, Organic Hoddle Brie, Pecorino Toscano DOP, Simme Blue and Brillant Savarin. All hand selected from Artisan Cheese Makers.
We wanted to let the cheese shine so we decided the room was full of so many beautiful florals that we would put beautiful seasonal fruit on the Tower. This included Black Mission Figs, Mulberries, Purple grapes & Mini Limonera Pears. We added hazelnuts and Bittersweet green mini berries and it looked incredible.
The Tower was served with water crackers and pastes - Tamarind, Cumquat, Quince & Fig.
We couldn’t be happier for Ellie & Nick. We wish them a whole world of long lasting happiness.
Life of the Party
The beautiful Mel who is a self confessed Cheese Lover asked us to show case one of our 3.5 metre grazing planks as the food at her and her husbands 30th, jammed pack with a bit of everything…..naturally we obliged
The party took place in their cute background with a rustic theme that had pops of colour but a elegant, laid back feel.
Mel wanted her guests to be WOWed on arrival by the grazing plank with it offering every mouthwatering antipasto piece the heart desires.
The table was old horse show trestles and we used wild flowers and green bush plants to follow on the back yard feel. Each section of the plank was created with a eye catching piece, being the whole salmon, piles of bread, 3 kilos of gorgonzola, dropping grapes and a 1 kg Will studd Washed Rind which was stunning.
Thanks to Mel for having the trust in us to create the magic and let us create a spread that not all looked incredible but tasted amazinggg. Now enjoy the feast of images below.
A Celebration Of Love
The sunset lighting, vivacious florals and whimsical charm of this Mosman wedding had our team in their element.
The beautiful Jane and her Husband Peter are obsessed cheese lovers who wanted to create something very special for their guests, and that they did.
The Gunners Barracks, Mosman is one of the most beautiful venues set on the amazing Sydney Harbour. When we found out this was where Janes Wedding was we were so excited and eager for the day to arrive. We could tell from our first few encounters with Jane, her ideas of the perfect wedding were making sure her guests were happy and good food. Her theme and palate was blush pinks, lots of greenery with rustic fruits and berries.
The incredible 5 tier Cheese Tower made the room light up. With all the couples favourites - Vintage Cheddar, Triple Cream Brie, Manchego, and a beautiful creamy Blue, the guests really were in for a special treat. Covered in orange mountain ash berries, dusty pink flowers, blue gums, artichokes, figs and herbs. The blue cheese in the sunset light looked like it was sparkling gold.
Jane and Peters bright and fun celebration of love with our beautiful Cheese Tower was the perfect start to the Wedding season. We wish these two love birds all the best.
The WOW Factor Cheese Plank
Sam’s Backyard wedding was one very beautiful celebration. Their design brief came directly from brief heaven: Cheese and Meat Plank (because we LOVE cheese) and make it look very pretty. EASY PEASY. Then add two of the most lovely chilled humans who trust what you do and leave you to making a creative masterpiece.
Their families had both travelled from the UK for their wedding and they wanted to make it intimate and very special.
The gorgeous house in Tascott was the most perfect location for their backyard wedding. The beautiful set out yard had a shabby chic theme with a touch of rustic and modern French Provincial. We had the amazing job of setting up an amazing 2.5 metre Cheese and Meat Plank.
Featuring all the brides favourite things - Inferno salami, Lonza, Prosciutto, Manchego, Sicilian Olives, Duck and Shiraz Pate it was packed full and sparkled everything a cheese lover LOVES.
We used natives and greenery to give a natural feel and to add that little Australian feel to their wedding. The beautiful herbs or Lemon Thyme, Basil and Rosemary made the room smell so delightful. With all the fresh summer fruits.
Congratulations again to this amazing couple. You hold a very special place in our heart as you live only up the road from our beautiful little cafe and we love seeing you day in and out.
Special shout out to the sensational Jess from Just a Piece of Cake who made her incredible cake just fit in beautifully with our Cheese Plank.
Sunset Wedding
Katrina and her husband focused their love of fun, food and love to create the perfect day to remember. In one of our first encounters with Katrina she spoke about Cheese like it was her second love - we knew this was a girl close to our heart.
We love all weddings. But when you find out the wedding is close to home and in a local place you absolutely adore, we get super excited.
Their venue spoke for itself being at The Reef Restaurant Terrigal with 180 degrees views of the ocean around them. The Cocktail style wedding with white and yellow roses and greenery made the room light up. We were so delighted that we got to put our 5 tier Cheese Tower in such a spectacular venue and in such a beautifully decorated space.
The 5 tier Cheese Tower was made up of all the Cheese Lovers favourites. The incredible Triple Cream Brie from Coal River was the show stopper of the night. This uber creamy cheese just melts in the mouth and even has soft cheese haters falling in love.
Decorated with whimsical greenery and herbs with lots of pomegranates, blood oranges and dark red grapes, it stood beautifully with a back drop of Terrigal Beach. It really was a dream come true.
Surprise 2 Metre Cured Meat Plank
We are still gushing over the incredible Cheese Tower and Meat Plank from the beautiful Melissa and Davids Wedding.
Their incredible colour palette and taste for their Sydney Harbourside Wedding made it so easy for us to work with them. Plus they were such lovely people. The white and dusty pink florals with gold and copper pieces throughout the room looked stunning with our 5 tier Cheese Tower that was decorated with hints of gold, plum colours and dark purples.
The View Sydney, with its amazing glass windows and high ceilings was the perfect location for us to create our masterpiece. Situated at the front of the room, it was the centrepiece for 100 guests.
Decorated and surrounded with florals, rosemary, pineapple sage and lots of summer fruit including plums, blood oranges, pomegranates and grapes. It was stunning. The best surprise however was hidden all night until the cake cutting where a 2 metre plank of cured meats came out to accompany the Cheese. Wagyu Bresaola, Sopressa and Italian Prosciutto piled high.
One of our favourite designs of 2016, it oozed everything we love about weddings. Big hugs to the newlyweds for be so wonderful, we had a ball working with you.
Centerpiece for a truly beautiful wedding
From the moment the lovely Penny enquired about a Cheese Tower for her boutique Hunter Wedding, we knew her day was going to be something truly special.
The incredible Leogate Estate set in the Hunter Valley, NSW is the most perfect location with its poetic surroundings for a truly beautiful and magical wedding.
The 60 guest wedding allowed us to create a Cheese Tower that was the centrepiece for the wedding reception, standing out and creating a breathtaking wow factor. Penny’s wedding theme spoke for itself being elegant and organic. Greenery and stunning foliage was on all the tables and the theme we continued over to the Cheese Tower.
The Cheese Tower was 4 tier made up of Kind Island Vintage Cheddar, Triple Cream Brie from Coal River and an incredible french blue that stood tall on top and had everyone turning their heads. Penny had two requests for her special day, muscatels and truffle honey. The muscatels were intwined with green vines, a subtle succulent and red baby limes to create the statement piece on top.
Abed of herbs (fennel, thyme, thai basil and rosemary) with wild flowers, berries and figs were placed to create an amazing floral arrangement to the side of the Tower.
The Tower was served with crackers, bacco leaves, quince and fig paste.
We couldn’t be happier for Penny and her Husband, we thank you for your trust and for being so lovely along the journey.
A gorgeous little coffee shop celebrates its 1yr birthday.
This Little Piggy & Co celebrated with the lovely community of Point Clare for its 1st birthday. Live music, single vineyard wines and a 1.6m bespoke cheese and meat plank created a very intimate celebration.
